Job Summary:

To support the Human Resources and Leadership team with administrative duties including, but not limited to, onboarding, recruiting and communications HR items, scheduling (events, interviews, etc.), and support for plant programs/initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings and interviews as needed, utilizing Outlook to accommodate schedules
  • Setup candidate and HR team member travel arrangements as needed
  • Responsible for scheduling preplacement testing of new hires
  • Support new hire orientation activities, including HR paperwork prior to candidate start and coordinating new hire schedule
  • Process documentation and prepare reports/presentations related to HR activities
  • Manage the details of situations and information that is confidential or of a critical nature
  • Responsible for prioritizing and managing multiple assignments simultaneously
    • Help support Communication team with creating content to support the plant’s key goals (EHS, quality, customer service, employee engagement, cost management…), for distribution via multiple channels to effectively keep our employees engaged and informed including:
      • Newsletters (print and digital)
      • Intranet
      • Employee app
      • TV system + video production
      • Letters and other messages from management
  • Support event planning activities (vendors, invitations, food service, gifts, etc.)

Site visits (customers, media, local governments, associations…) Employee social events (picnics, holiday parties…)

  • Assist with additional HR special projects, engagement activities and assignments as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency is required; Bachelors or associate’s degree in human resources or other field strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or Executive Administrative position required
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and trustworthy
  • Capable to organize group activities and agendas
  • Communicates effectively in visual, oral and written form utilizing required technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Power Point software applications and the ability to learn in-house software. Basic excel skills will be required.

 

About Constellium Muscle Shoals:   

Constellium Muscle Shoals is a major aluminum sheet supplier for the packaging and automotive markets. The plant has ~1,200 employees and more than 100 acres under room, including five casting units, hot and cold rolling mills, and a slitting and finishing center. Muscle Shoals produces aluminum sheet for use in all three components of beverage cans (body stock, coated end stock, tab stock) and has the capacity to produce over 1 billion pounds per year of finished aluminum coils. The plant also produces aluminum automotive coils to be processed at our CALP line in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Muscle Shoals’ world-class recycling center is able to recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminum cans per year.
