Job Summary: The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating the manufacturing schedules for the CALP and Completion Line machine centers at Constellium Bowling Green. The production schedules are created utilizing the Stratix ERP Systems and Visual 8 Planning software and the Production Scheduler is accountable for drafting and managing the schedule to ensure delivery to our customers is on-time and in full. The Production Scheduler monitors the machine center production schedules daily and makes changes when necessary, such as when raw materials do not arrive as planned or when equipment fails. In addition, the Production Scheduler monitors inventory levels and provides alerts to the appropriate team members in the event that we are exceeding and or falling behind our respective targets. The Production Scheduler is responsible for maximizing the utilization of the respective machine centers. The Production Scheduler coordinates metal flow through the plant in a manner that assures customer demand and production targets are balanced and realized.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and establishes production schedules for CALP & Completion Line machine centers
  • Work within capacity and production plans for the plant
  • Key liaison between Administration and Operations for customer requirements
  • Collaborate with other Supply Chain and Plant personnel to assure holistic plans are accurate and complete
  • Collaborate with internal/external team members regarding projects, trials, commissioning activities, etc. for the CALP & Completion Line machine centers in support of the business objectives
  • Responsible for executing transactions within the ERP and planning systems with precision to prevent errors which could impact the product or the respective machine centers
  • Expected to be on call throughout the week/weekends due to any unexpected breakdowns/software issues that may require schedule changes.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 Years of experience in Supply Chain or related field 
  • Previous experience with ERP & Planning systems is required
  • Solid understanding of internal/external lead times is required
  • Advanced computer skills are required
  • Demonstration of analytical, organizational, and communication skills is required
